How much did you know about Book Club before we started?

I didn't know anything but I knew if I read it I will get some idea’s about it. Even though aI was so excited about the book I wanted to read it. Also when I started reading this book at made me wanted to read more and more books.

What were your goals for Reading and Book Club? Have your goals changed? Are you on track to meet your goals?

My goal for book club was to  read a lot of pages in a short time. I think I am on track to meeting my goal because I have read  more pages than I thought I would have been able to read.

Outward-Looking:

If you were the teacher, what comments would you make about your learning so far?

Looking at my progress has changed my learning to level 1 to level 3, by reading books all the time and focusing. Book club has changed my goals to move on to higher level and that what helps me to focus and stay on track.

Forward-Looking:

As you look at your work so far, what's one thing that you would like to try to improve upon?

One thing that I would like to improve is finding out why did the author wrote this what was his purpose about this book. Another thing that I would like to improve is help my teammates finish their tasks so we can move on to read another book and find interesting facts.

Xtramaths Certificate!

This is my certificate award on Xtramths. Starting of begining of the term, maths was really hard for me until I used a website called Xtramaths. It has helped my because it tells how well am I am going and it shows my progress. Also it shows my next step for me. I am proud of my self because I use to be below and I am at the top.What I had to do to achieve this was I had to get all the promblems correct and answer them fast. My next goal is to work hard on timetables and move on to divison. I can't wait to see your comments.

My reflection about genius hour!

This is my reflection about Genius Hour. It is about what I was doing and why was I doing this and now what! In the last few weeks I and McCahon class have been doing a project what they wanted to learn about. MOst of us have done a project together and we share our ideas and we collaborate. I hope you enjoy it!

What: What I was doing today was I was busy focusing on my genius hour. what is a genius hour? It is a project where we have all our ideas about what you want to learn about. What I meant about what we want to learn about you can learn anything what you want. My topic was about why do we need lungs and why is our blood red and our vein blue! I was looking for information and some images and I found some interesting things.




So what:I was doing this because I never had a chance finding out what I wanted so I did this. I really helps me because I learnt staff that I never learnt. Another reason why I was doing this was that I wanted to learn about the body features and my most topic was why do we need lungs and why is our vein blue?


Now what:What am I gonna do next is to find out more and more details and use all my created ideas and put it on my presentation. Once my presentation is done, next I am going to learn about space and the solar system.

My Slam poetry

The last few weeks, Mccahon class have been doing some slam poetry in writing. This slam poetry is about what do you want to be so I chosen being a drummer.I chose drumming becauase that was my passion.Why I chosen this because some student at Hay Park School and May Road School went down to wellington to perform for the the Big Bang festival. We were called the battrie 100! I hope you enjoy my slam poetry!

Trip to May Road School.

What?

Earlier this morning we had a walking exercise all the way to May Road School. We were doing an amazing genius hour project.Genius hour project is something that you really want to know that you never know and you create it.It was really interesting going there because we learn things and we got to make new friends!I enjoyed going there and what we did was collaborating in groups about staff that we wanted to learn about! I have learn many things about music,human body,space and different things. I was really into it because the people I know had different ideas.I love doing this again and I hope we could still continuing it.

So what?

Collaborating with May Road was the first time in Hay Park School. We got to know each other and had a warm up game. We started of genius hour and started learning about staff that we wanted to learn.Looking at other people’s idea was really interesting. We were doing this because we were working on a genius hour about the things that we wanted to learn.

Now what?

Now what I hoping for is to start sharing our ideas and sharing our creating things. I have learn a little bit of things because we just started. I have learned from it and now I want to learn more and more things.

This is my writing about a trip to May Road School! We have learnt many things by collaborating.I hope we can do this again and I enjoyed doing this.

I wonder?

Here is my brain storm about I wonder question. What was I learning was about how many I wonder question that are Googleable  and what I wonder question are Ungoogleable.McCahon and I are doing this because we are we are doing a project with May Road school.I have been looking forward doing this project and it is really interesting. Some of my question are mostly about the future! I love doing project with other people and sharing it to other's because we collaborate and share our ideas and that means we are learning and being focus! I hope you enjoyed it!
